The Literary Roller Coaster Project
For this project, my partners were Skylar Haynes and Sandra Mendoza. With Skylar's brainy design, and Sandra's creative ideas, we were able to create beautiful work. In this project, my group created a roller coaster (designed for a marble) that followed the story of Jean Louise Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. To incorporate the book, we created mini models from the story, and added them to the roller coaster. In this project I learned alot about kinetics, what it means to be an empathic person, and how difficult it can be to work in a group. Our group did really well in this project as afar as asthetics go, I am really proud of how it turned out looking. Our group did have a few problems with agreeing on ideas, but we came to a conclusion and worked out something that would make everyone happy. I think we did really good with the literary aspect of the roller coaster however, we had many troubles getting the roller coaster to function properly. I would change the size of the roller coaster, if it were up to me. I think that if the coaster was bigger, we would have alot more space to work with and it would make it easier to make the coaster work.
