Classroom Constitution Project
In my group, for the Classroom Constitution project, was Doug Hunter, Miranda Vega, and Macy Dillenbeck. This group was really fun and interesting to work with. I feel like we came up with some really good ideas for this project and we had fun while doing it. I feel that group work in general is really efficient because, the more people working on a project, the faster it gets done, and when you have opinions from four people, you can work to make something really cool.
In this project, my group and I came up with some ideas or “amendments” that we could add to the classroom constitution to create a better learning environment. From working with my group in creating these amendments, I have learned that coming up with ideas and coming to a conclusion that satisfies everyone, can be difficult, but when you do figure it out, it makes everyone proud of their work.
What really worked in this project was group brainstorming. I think that when our group sat down together and shared out all of our ideas, we made alot of progress and were able to combine them to make great work. A struggle my group had was that everyone wanted to share their ideas, but not everyone agreed with them so it was quite difficult to decide which amendments we wanted to use. We wound up taking an unofficial vote and kind of just decided that the ones we all liked the most would be the ones we used. I think I did well coming up with my own ideas as well as helping my group create good, strongly worded amendments. If I could change anything about this project, it would be what the team name ended up being. I really don’t think Carotz captures who we are as a team and what we stand for.
